Northwest Yunnan’s Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture launched a micro-video contest called the “World’s Shangri-La” on April 20, collecting excellent short videos about Shangri-La taken by tourists from China and across the globe.

Jointly held by the Publicity Department of the CPC Diqing Prefectural Committee, the Diqing Prefectural External Publicity Office and the Diqing Tourism Development Committee, the video contest aims to tell the Shangri-La stories from a different perspective and show the new image of the prefecture.

By showcasing the beautiful sceneries, diverse ethnic cultures, harmonious social life and great changes in Diqing, the contest will boost the influence and fame of the “World’s Shangri-La” brand.

Three categories of prizes are set for this contest, involving one 100,000-yuan prize, two 50,000-yuan prizes and an unlimited number of 10,000-yuan prizes.

The contest lasts from May 1 to October 31, 2018. If you are interested, please prepare your video and post them on various social/official networks before September 19. During Sep.19-30, send the posted short video to the contest organizing committee via email.

The video can be a documentary, a cartoon, a scenic video, a micro film, or an advertisement of public interest. The video length should be within 3 minutes, with its output format being MOV or MP4.
