Highland barley: A bite of Shangri-La
Shangri-lanews 2019-08-01 18:57:49

The highland barley has been grown in Shangri-La, northwest Yunnan since ancient times.

In Shangri-La, the major crop is divided into the black-skinned breed and white-skinned breed.

When the highland barley is at maturity for harvest, people in Shangri-La are full of bliss.

For locals,  pies made out of the barley are a favored food.
