Qi Baishi's great-grandson and his paintings
Yunnan Daily 2020-11-10 16:12:31

Born in 1948, Qi Tianshan is one of the great-grandsons of Qi Baishi (1864-1957), the ink-brush master artist of modern China. For decades, Qi Tianshan has endeavored to pass on the style of his great-grandfather.

His works like “Villages in the Mountain”, “Harmony”, “Lotus Flowers”, “Longevity Peaches”, and “Thousand Boats Set Sail in Strong Wind” are becoming more and more popular.  After visiting many places in China, Qi Tianshan has chosen to settle in Daying Township of Central Yunnan's Yuxi City.
