Nujiang to hold international canoeing open

The 2018 Chinese Nujiang Wild-Water International Canoeing Open Competition will start from Dec. 12 to 17 in NuJiang Prefecture, Yunnan Province, according to a recent press conference in Beijing.


The competition will be sponsored by the International Canoeing Federation, the Chinese Canoeing  Association, the Yunnan Sports Bureau,and will be held by the people's Government of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, the NuJiang State Sports, Radio, Television and Press Bureau, and the Songmao Sports training Base in Yunnan Province. The competitionwill be carried out by Beijing Shang Yongzhi Xing Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd. China Transportation Construction Group Co.Ltd. is the uniquetitle sponsorafterlast year, and will give the event tremendous support.
 


Compared with the 2017 race, this year's competition and schedule is more concentrated, the track is more challenging and enjoyable.There are four events in the competition: kayak for men, kayak for women, canoeing for men and canoeing for women. More than 60 elite kayakers from the United States, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Australia and China will compete fiercely on the surging NujiangRiver. Theathletes from all over the world come to Nujiang to compete, they will also feel the rich ethnic customs of the Grand Canyon. (Nujiang Newspaper/Duan Xuehua)
