Summer in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest Yunnan, is season for flower admiring. Even in the transitional period between summer and autumn, there is no lack of fascinating flower fields to visit if you happen to be on vacation in the highland area.

In the Qibe village of Tacheng Town, Weixi County, sunflowers are in blossom, enchanting visitors and locals alike. They were seen taking photos with their smart phones from time to time.

The abundant rainfall in the Shika scenic area’s engendered golden wild flowers, a reminder of the buttery tea favored by the Tibetan locals.

Besides flowers, the highland barley in dark green these days also formed picturesque sights in the Luodong village in Shangri-La, which is surrounded by lush mountains.
