Picturesque scenery at botanical garden in Shangri-La

In late autumn, the Gaoshan/alpine botanical garden in Shangri-La, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, is showing its best to tourists.

 

Likened to be the “back garden” of Shangri-La, the picturesque garden now features leaves and grass in red, yellow, gray, green and others.




 

Covering 7,247 hectares, the botanical garden is located in the vicinity of Shangri-La City. And it is home to more than 900 plant species, including isoetes hypsophila, alpine shrubs and more.
