Xinhua 2018-10-18 11:51:26

The 11th Panchen Lama Bainqen Erdini Qoigyijabu returned to Beijing on Tuesday after three months of Buddhist activities in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region where he visited Buddhist sites and conducted rituals.

During the three months, the Panchen Lama visited several monasteries, held Buddhist activities and met believers in Lhasa, Xigaze and Shannan.

He performed head-touching rituals to give blessings to tens of thousands of believers in Tibet.

While visiting the city of Shannan in mid-August, the Panchen Lama paid his first visit to Lhamo Lhatso, a sacred lake.

In Xigaze, he attended a donation ceremony and visited some local seedling bases, vegetable greenhouses and workshops. He extended congratulations to the farmers for good harvests and encouraged workers to work hard for a better life.
