94.3% of the public satisfied with eco-environment in Diqing
Shangri-lanews 2019-08-08 15:38:23

Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture ranked first in ecological environment in the province with a satisfaction rate of 94.3% from local public, according to a recent survey on Yunnan's ecology in 2018. Another six Yunnan prefectures/cities also exceeded 90% in the satisfaction rate.

Embracing the national philosophy of “lush mountains and lucid waters are invaluable assets” in recent years, Diqing has put into practice the provincial decision of “building Yunnan into the most beautiful province in China”.

In 2018, Diqing Party committee and government decided to step up eco-protection in an effort to be a most beautiful Tibetan area in China. Consequently, the Tibetan prefecture in northwest Yunnan has taken rounds of actions to beautify local cities, towns, villages and households.

At the same time, Diqing focused on pollution prevention, ecological protection and living environment that features blue sky, fresh air, clean surroundings, clear rivers and lush vegetation. In doing so, Diqing has fulfilled its due role in building a beautiful China and a beautiful Yunnan.
