International Tennis Tournament kicks off in Yunnan

The 2019 "Belt and Road Colorful Yunnan" Kunming International Tennis Tournament kicked off on Sunday at Wenquan Peninsula International Tennis Center, Anning City, southwest China's Yunnan Province.



According to the organizer, a total of eleven teams from China and another 10 countries and regions in South and Southeast Asia including Myanmar, Thailand, and Laos will take part in the tournament in the next few days.


The tournament includes men's and women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles, with a total prize of one million yuan.



As the ambassador of the tournament, Chinese women's tennis player Zhang Shuai will represent the host Yunnan Anning team. Zhang said that the Kunming International Tennis Tournament is a beneficial attempt and innovation of folk sports diplomacy in Asia, and she hoped to present splendid matches for the audience together with all the players.
