Unveiling for new book Series on Biography of King Gesar held

On November 29, an unveiling event for the new book Series on Biography of King Gesar (1-118 volumes, photocopy edition) was officially released in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China’s Sichuan Province. More than 200 people attended the conference.


At the event, participating experts highly praised the publication of Series on Biography of King Gesar. They praised its large scale and variety, which are of great significance to the research and inheritance of Gesar culture.


It is reported that Series on Biography of King Gesar is by far the most complete photocopy of ancient books on biography of King Gesar. The series includes 300 different editions of King Gesar’s biography compiled in 118 volumes, in which contains various woodcuts, manuscripts, and precious vermillion books.


The book also includes 30 recently collected versions of the ancient books of the Biography of King Gesar.
