Qiao Sheng, a senior Party member in the Chuanda village of Tacheng Town, Weixi County, passed away on February 12 due to overwork amid the on-going anti-epidemic battle in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

Qiao suddenly fell when he was working at a local checkpoint. Before that, Qiao called fellow villagers, asking for more supplies to those at the anti-virus front and urging locals to get ready to farming in spring.

Born in a Lisu family in June 1962, Qiao has long been a member of the Communist Party of China, and he once served as a deputy to the Tacheng People's Congress and a village head. Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, Qiao had fought at the front for 15 consecutive days.
