As of Feb. 16, Yunnan has sent a total of 809 medical workers to central China’s Hubei province, which is the epicenter of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Coming from cities and prefectures across Yunnan province, the 809 medical workers have been assigned to the Hubei localities of Wuhan and Xianning in five batches, carrying out medical aid upon their arrival.

Over the just concluded weekend, 210 of them left Yunnan in two batches for the virus-hit areas in Hubei, and another three batches had departed in succession earlier in the past two weeks.

Yunnan also sent to Hubei medicine, fruits, vegetables, and other produces to relieve the epidemic blight.
