Shangri-La donates 100-ton vegetables to Tongshan
Shangri-lanews 2020-02-18 17:52:20

Five trucks loaded with a total of 100 tons of fresh vegetables entered the Ke'ao Industrial Park in Tongshan County, southeast Hubei on February 16, carrying the friendship from Shangri-La City, northwest Yunnan’s Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

A hard battle against the COVID-19 epidemic is going on in central China's Hubei province. Purchased by the Shangri-La municipal government, the quality vegetables include broccoli and green onions, which will be instantly distributed to towns and communities in Tongshan.

To keep the vegetables fresh, the truck drivers took turns to work around the clock, covering a mileage of 2,360 kilometers in 59 hours. The eastward fleet of vans   traveled through the Chinese provinces of Yunnan, Guizhou, Hunan and Hubei.
