In pics: Spring in Yunnan makes sea of flowers
Yunnan Gateway 2020-03-06 16:23:46

Every year in March, Luoping presents Yunnan’s best spring sight to the world: golden fields with rapeseed flowers, butterflies and bees.

The beautiful county of Luoping lies in the tri-junction area of Yunnan, Guizhou and Guangxi in southwest China.

In Luoping, the Jinji(golden rooster) peaks are most covered by photographers. Standing 12 kilometers northeast of the Luoping county seat, the hills are near the 324 national highway.

Daheishan is the best place to watch the Jinji hills and their surrounding area, while Lazhuang makes another favored spot for spring outing in Luoping.

Besides Luo Ping, other localities in Yunnan province also are full of flowers, forming more spectacular sights.

In the provincial capital of Kunming, riverside-area and parks are decorated by flower fields. Here are some of them.

Central Yunnan’s Wuding County sees peonies flowering in the Shizi(lion) mountain.

While Luxi County in southeast Yunnan features flowers of varied colors.

Changning county in southwest Yunnan is decorated by azaleas.

Though the Covid-19 epidemic is still ravaging worldwide, spring has alrealy come to the Chinese province of Yunnan. Hope the virus will melt away in the vernal breeze.
