Yunnan Gateway 2020-07-31 15:54:05

The Summer Happy Nightlife Festival opened on Nanqiang Street in downtown Kunming, Yunnan province on July 28, in a bid to boost night economy amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The opening featured ethnic costume shows, traditional Yunnan Opera, honor-guard parades, and unique snacks. By creating a nightlife area with local characteristics, the event aims to spur domestic consumption.

More than 30 excellent snack shops joined in the night market, operating from 9: 00 p.m. to 3: 00 a.m. Consumer vouchers worth RMB 1.5 million are now available on the Wechat network of "Kunming Nanqiang Market".

Nanqiang Street is one of the traditional Kunming blocks with a unique historical air, making it a good place to meet friends and have a leisure time.
