
Pictures taken recently show the farmers harvest quinoa in Xiaozhongdian Town, Diqing Prefecture’s Shangri-La City.


Quinoa was introduced into Shangri-La in2016 as a new means to increase local farmers’ income, and the growing area has been on the rise in the years.


Considered a pseudograin, quinoa is recognized as a complete food due to its protein quality.
