Online pictures taken on January 1 show the New Year’s first golden sunrise seen on the Meili Snow Mountain in Deqin County, Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.  

With its 6,740-meter Kawakarpo peak, the Meili Snow Mountain is a most frequented tourist destinations in the prefecture in northwest Yunnan.
