On the 8th day of the second lunar month each year (March 14 in 2019), the Naxi people in Sanba Township, Shangri-La City, hold picnic and outdoor entertainment to renew their relationships.

With a Naxi population of around 10,000, Sanba is the only Naxi township in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, and the picnic site was near Baishuitai, a famous tourist attraction in Baidi Village.
