Three Parallel Rivers lie deep in Shangri-La
CGTN 2020-04-30

Rainy season in Shangri-La falls from June to September each year. When the mist fades away after the rain, the dark green forest is succeeded by the reign of the primrose. As one of Yunnan's three best-known flowers, the primrose is a well-known highland plant. This isolated alpine region in northwestern Yunnan has exhibited a lively exuberance with the blossoms of the flowers.

Located in the mountainous northwestern part of China's Yunnan Province, the Three Parallel Rivers of Yunnan Protected Areas is a miraculous place full of unknown creatures and landforms. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is described as "may be the most biologically diverse temperate region on earth." The 12-episode Three Parallel Rivers Series presents you a world that you might have never seen.
